For me, Pride is about celebrating ourselves in our truest forms and creating a world where everyone else has the freedom to do the same. It's about showing up as we are, without apology while allowing others that same grace.
Pride is standing up for our rights. It's standing up for each other. It's remembering that none of us got here alone and that our strength has always come from community. Visibility. Support.
It's also about acceptance. Accepting ourselves and living freely exactly as we are. Not who others expect us to be. Not who we're told to be or how to live.
Pride is found in the loud moments and the quiet ones. In celebration and in resilience. In honoring those who came before us and supporting those who will come after us.
Most of all, Pride is love.
Love for ourselves. Love for our community. Love for the freedom to live authentically and to be celebrated.
